Men’s Transitional House & Community Residential Facility
The Salvation Army Bailey House exists to provide transitional housing for men who have experienced homelessness or are in a critical state that without the services of Bailey House they would become homeless. Through a holistic approach that promotes independence and improves health and wellbeing, the Bailey House provides individualized support services to the adult male residents to accomplish its mission by:
- Providing residents with stable/safe accommodation and appropriate supports.
- Supporting program participants to maintain stable housing by teaching life skills in relation to housing preparation.
- Supporting the individual to build a positive tenancy history.
- Enabling program participants to increase their independent living skills.
- Supporting program participants in achieving their chosen lifestyle and quality of life including access to family, community, and their respective cultures.
- Working in collaboration with individuals to develop an individualized personal development plan which will provide goals and objectives for individuals improving health and wellbeing and ultimately foster independent living in the community.
- To provide an environment which is safe, stable, and drug and alcohol free for residents.

The Salvation Army Bailey House is a 32 bed Men’s Transitional Housing Unit.
We exist to assist men to establish stability during their stay and create a positive tenancy history by short-term housing and support services focusing on life skills for housing readiness.
Each individual creates a personal development plan with the guidance of their caseworker outlining their goals.

Community Residential Facility:
The Bailey House has 4 private rooms reserved to accommodate men transitioning from a Federal Corrections Centre into the community.
The Community Residential Facility exists to promote the successful reintegration of men through supported supervision. Each person is assigned a caseworker which will help with goal setting and support.
